General Statement of Non-Discrimination
Charles and Sue's School of Hair Design is committed to protecting opportunities for students to learn and promotes equal access to education and makes a strong effort to prevent and eliminate discrimination against students and employees.
The School is committed to equal access to facilities, programs, admission and employment for all persons. It is the policy of the School to maintain an environment free of discrimination and free of harassment against any person because of race, age, ancestry, color, national origin, religion, creed, service in the uniformed services (as defined in state and federal law), veteran status, sex, sexual orientation, marital or family status, pregnancy, pregnancy-related conditions, mental or physical disability, gender, perceived gender, gender identity, genetic information, or political ideas and affiliations. Discriminatory conduct and harassment, as well as relationship violence and sexual misconduct, violates the dignity of individuals, impedes the realization of the College’s educational mission, and will not be tolerated.

Non-Discrimination: Charles and Sue's School of Hair Design does not
discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, national origin,
ancestry, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, genetic marker or any other
characteristic protected by state, local or federal law in the administration
of any of its educational programs or activities, or with respect to admission
or employment. Charles and Sue's is committed to compliance with Title
IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.
Students, applicants, employees or other persons who wish to present a grievance
regarding gender-based or other discrimination should contact the President, who serves as the School’s primary Title IX Coordinator. The President is available during
regular business hours and can also be reached by email at charlesandsues@gmail.com . Title IX Coordinator: The President serves as the Title IX Coordinator at Charles and Sue's. The
Title IX Coordinator is an integral part of a systematic approach to ensuring
non-discrimination and a non-discriminatory environment at the School and has the
appropriate authority and institutional support necessary to coordinate the
institution’s Title IX compliance (including access to all relevant information
and resources). Duties of the Title IX Coordinator: The Title IX Coordinator’s primary responsibility
is to ensure Charles and Sue's’s compliance with Title IX’s administrative
requirements. The Title IX Coordinator
must have knowledge of the requirements of Title IX and on the nature of
discrimination, the legal issues involved, and strategies for prevention. Because Title IX prohibits discrimination in all
aspects of the School’s education programs and activities, the Title IX Coordinator
will work closely with many different members of the Charles and Sue's community and
will engage in activities to educate all employees regarding gender equity. Investigation of Complaints: The Title IX Coordinator shall treat all
complaints seriously and perform a complete and appropriate investigation. The investigation may include reviewing
documents, viewing surveillance videos, and/or interviewing witnesses. Upon completion of the investigation, the
Title IX Coordinator shall report his/her findings and judgment to the President, who will take prompt and appropriate action as warranted by the
situation and the evidence. Resources and Collaboration: The President will ensure that the School provides
the necessary resources for the Title IX Coordinator to complete his/her duties
under this policy and will promote an environment of cooperation and
collaboration within the School to support the purposes of this policy. Further, each employee will cooperate fully
with any investigation conducted under this policy, and no retaliation will be
permitted against any person on the basis of having filed a complaint under
this policy and/or for having given honest and complete testimony in an
investigation.
]omplaint Procedure: The Title IX Coordinator shall remain
available to receive complaints during normal business hours. Complainantants shall be encouraged to schedule
an appointment directly with the Title IX Coordinator, either in-person or by
other appropriate means. If the
complainant subsequently chooses to submit a formal complaint, it must be
submitted in written form (including electronic documents or e-mail), and must
provide a detailed description of the complaint, a list of potential witnesses
(if any), and any available documentation. Complaint Referrals: Any employee who becomes aware of a potential
complaint should refer the individual to the Title IX Coordinator. Campus Security Policy Responsibilities: The Title IX Coordinator also has certain
additional responsibilities involving allegations of dating violence, domestic
violence, sexual assault, or stalking.

Security Report (P&P 5.3 – Campus Security) for more information
related to these responsibilities. Training: The Title IX
Coordinator shall arrange for his/her own training (either in-person or
on-line) as necessary to remain current with his/her responsibilities under
Title IX and the Clery Act.
